Artlines: Anish Kapoor + The Bodhi Project + Sidney Nolan

Issue 1-2008 (March–May)
0 pages paperback colour

In a brand new format, the March issue of Artlines explores a range of artists and projects occurring around Brisbane, and further abroad. Lynne Seear writes on the commissioning of Anish Kapoor’s monumental sculpture Untitled 2006–07, unveiled at the Gallery of Modern Art in late 2007, and David Burnett engages with the Bodhi Project — a public art project by Taiwanese-born artist Lee Mingwei for the Queensland Cultural Centre. This issue also introduces forthcoming exhibitions including the much-anticipated Sidney Nolan retrospective, and a major survey of the 20-year career of acclaimed Queensland artist Gordon Bennett.

There’s an interview with art patron and collector, Morris Low, a run-down of current and upcoming screenings at the Australian Cinémathèque, reviews of films, books and more.

Artlines is now published four times a year (March, June, September and December).
