Artlines: Contemporary Art of the Pacific
This issue of Artlines not only illustrates the diversity of art practices prevalent in the Pacific — from textiles and jewellery to film-making and photography — it also explores the changes that these practices have undergone in recent years. We present some remarkable images from Vilsoni Hereniko’s recent film The Land Has Eyes and review some significant books on Pacific art. Contributors include John Pule, Auckland-based poet and painter, Robert Leonard, Director of the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane, and Jeanette Paulson Hereniko, a Pacific film producer.
Artlines is published three times a year (April, August and December).
1 year (3 issues) and 2 year (6 issues) subscriptions are available online at www.qag.qld.gov.au/artlines.
