The proppaNOW art collective consists of Vernon Ah Kee, Tony Albert, Bianca Beetson, Richard Bell, Andrea Fisher, Jennifer Herd, Gordon Hookey and Laurie Nilsen. Each of the members has been fundamentally important to contemporary indigenous artwork in Brisbane, and Australia.

Stylistically ‘urban’, each member’s work is an exploration of their worldview. Although their work is different, this retrospective shows just how cohesive their artwork is when viewed together.

The mediums employed by the artists are varied, including painting, installation, illustration and mixed media.

This publication explores each of the artists work between 2004 and 2008. It includes essays by George Petelin, Tim Morrell, Pat Hoffie and Ihor Holubizky.
